Pree 'n Pree

Pree 'n Pree will be holding worship service in unique ways. One of the inspirations for our style of church is the William Blake vision of what church could be, expressed in his poem The Little Vagabond. Find the poem at the Poetryfoundation.org or in the the resources of Pree 'n Pree. Living all of life as prayer is a priority of the Pree 'n Pree community (Pree, slang for prayer according to Jack Kerouac in Cerrada Medellin Blues 6th Chorus). Action in loving our neighbors, all of our neighbors, from the bumble bee to the blue whale, is an important aspect of Pree 'n Pree. If life, as God intended, as Jesus exemplified, is essentially praying without ceasing, than living lives devoted to loving our neighbor in every moment, should be a top aspiration for humanity. This has all encompassing ramifications, and will impact how we revere all creatures and creation, sentient and non-sentient. What do we consume? What are the sources? What do we eat? How do we treat the animals, and vegetables, and soils that bring us food? What are the consequences of the energy we consume? The line of questioning is long, but the short story is, we are seeking to love our neighbors, and take responsibility for our actions in concrete ways that bring glory to God, not shame, that express Christ in us, not Christ beyond us. Pree 'n Pree will ask these questions, week after week, in worship, because the Scriptures exhort us to love God and neighbor. Jesus gave us the great command, the night before he was arrested and sentenced to death, to love one another. This is our priority at Pree 'n Pree, and this involves every moment of our day. Guest speakers from the community, who we see as fabulous examples of pursuing love of neighbor, will be brought in to share with the Pree 'n Pree community what they do, why they do it, and how we can get involved with their practices of loving neighbor. The hope is to be inspired in many different ways, from many different examples about what it is to love neighbor. We our thankful that when we do not love as we should, God has first loved us and forgives us our failing. And yet, this is not used as excuse to love less, to take our leisure in grace, but inspires us to even more so choose the challenging and exhilarating way of love. Pree 'n Pree will pursue avant-garde expression of visual and audio arts. We are enthused by the power of art, the power of the creative gift to point us in new ways of thinking, worshiping, and being.

W. Berry's technology use guidelines

>> Pree 'n Pree
Description >>
This compendium list to J.E.'s list, is short but challenging, and Pree 'n Pree does not quite know how to receive the listed advice or handle the listed advice, because so much of what we use in our day to day runs smack against the list. We are happy to say that Cap Heights is 100% of electrically powered by renewable energy (solar panels) - one reason we have chosen to make a home at CH Presbyterian.
